Beauce Gold Fields is a gold exploration company focused on placer to hard rock exploration in the Beauce region of Southern Quebec, Canada.
The Company’s flagship property is the St-Simon-Les-Mines Gold project site of Canada’s first gold rush. It hosts some of the largest historical placer gold mines in Eastern North America that were active from the 1860s to the 1960s. It produced some of the largest gold nuggets in Canadian mining history (50oz to 71oz).
Goal of the Exploration
There are two specific objectives
Explore for a hard rock Lode gold deposit, and investigate the potential for a placer gold mining operation.
Project Overview
Comprising of a block of 152 claims as well as 7 real estate lots, the project area hosts a six-kilometer long placer channel that consists of an unconsolidated gold-bearing sedimentary unit (a lower saprolite and an upper brown diamictite).
